Timeline
What is coming, then what has changed, newest first. The guide's own words are not among it: those are the Inner Development Goals' and they change only when they publish a correction. What changes is how you reach them.
What's coming
Plans, not promises. No dates, and the order can change.
- Out of testing and into the stores. The open test is the last step before the app is simply there, on the App Store and Google Play, for anyone.
- More languages in the app. The site reads in thirteen; the app carries twelve. Shona is transcribed and waiting on a speaker to read the words the app puts around the guide.
- The app on iPad. The same app in a bigger box: the card keeps its measure and the screen decides how many of them you see at once.
- A place to translate the guide together. A tool where people who speak a language can work on its words with each other — check a rendering against the official guide, propose, sign, and see who else is there — so a translation is a group's work and not one person's evening. Being explored now with a few speakers; the guide's own words stay Inner Development Goals', transcribed and never rewritten.

- The guide as plain text, and a sheet to review it. Every translation on the translations page now comes as plain text beside its PDF — the words alone, to read and to copy into an email or a shared document, each skill with its code. The AI projections and the community-approved Finnish also come with a review sheet: one tab per dimension, the official English beside the translation and an empty column for your correction, to fill in alone or with others who read the language and send back.
1 October 2026
- Finnish, approved by its community. The Finnish IDG
Community — five native speakers of Finnish, all members of the IDG Hub
network in Finland — read the Finnish guide line by line, corrected it
and approved it on 29 September. It is the first community-approved
translation: not official, since Inner Development Goals has not
published the 2025 guide in Finnish, but read and owned by the people
who speak the language. It has its own group on
the translations page, credited
to them, and joins the guide as data as its
fourteenth language, marked
communitywith who approved it and when.

- The guide as data, for developers. Every dimension and skill, in thirteen languages, as plain versioned JSON at idg.guide/developers — and the brand beside it: the palette and the thirty marks as SVG and PNG. No key, no sign-up, no rate plan: fetch it and build. One rule travels with the text and the marks — Inner Development Goals' attribution ships in every payload and stays with any use. Each language's official guide is linked from its entry and says what kind of translation it is, and every file carries a checksum so a download can verify itself.
17 September 2026
- Seven AI projections of the guide. Catalan, Danish, Finnish, Ukrainian, Wolof, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese have an official translation of the 2021 framework and none of the 2025 guide. For each, the 2025 guide was drafted by a model from that official 2021 text — the source, the method and what was kept official on every page — and put on the translations page in its own group, labelled for what it is: not an official translation, not yet read by a speaker. If you read one of these languages and find it wrong, say so.
2 September 2026
- The app is in open testing. Both stores approved it for public testing, so anyone can try it before it is published — on iPhone through TestFlight, on Android through Google Play. Leave an address and the link arrives by email.
27 August 2026
- Search the guide where you are reading it. Type on any skills page and it filters as you go, marking what matched — in that page's own language, without leaving it.
- The whole guide on one page. A printable A4 sheet with all five dimensions and twenty-five skills, one for each of the thirteen languages. The button sits beside the search field.
20 August 2026
- Dutch. The official translation, now here to read and to download.
16 August 2026
- Every language its own address. The guide reads in all ten shipped languages, each at a URL a search engine can find and you can share.
- Welsh. The official translation, now here to read and to download.
- Shona. The official translation, now here to read and to download.
15 August 2026
- The guide became a page. Five dimensions, twenty-five skills, in Inner Development Goals' own words — nothing paraphrased, nothing added.
- Every official translation on one shelf. The complete guide as a PDF in each language, on links that stay put, free to download and share.
14 August 2026
- Occasional news, and a way to write back. An email field for the rare announcement — a new language, a release — and a contact page with the two addresses that matter.
12 August 2026
- A way to support the work. Donations in twenty currencies, once or monthly. They buy nothing: everything here is the same either way, for everyone.
8 August 2026
- It began as an app. An edition of the guide you could carry, and — so the idea could be tried before it was built — a working prototype of that app, running in a browser at idg.guide: the five dimensions as cards, each swiping through its five skills, in eleven languages, light or dark, and nothing to sign up for. The site has grown well past it since; the prototype is still there.
- The privacy and terms pages were written the same week the prototype was — what is collected, what is not, and whose words the guide's are.
